In April 2004, Junex has completed the acquisition of Foragaz inc. which was supplying these last years drilling services on the exploration projects of the company. This acquisition has permitted a vertical integration of certain operations since Foragaz has since been carrying out all drilling works for the exploration projects of Junex, including the projects with its partners. This acquisition provides Junex with a better management for its drilling costs and therefore facilitating its exploration plan since having access to drilling equipments can sometimes prove to be a complex operation in an industry in full bloom. For those same reasons, the acquisition of Foragaz helps Junex to better negotiate and manage partnership agreements with companies who can then have ready access to equipment and other necessary resources for oil and gas drilling. Foragaz is the only company from Quebec who is active in the oil and gas drilling industry.
