The block contains 8 exploration permits covering 400,000 acres located in the northern part of the Gaspé Peninsula where Ordovician traps are searched. Junex completed in 2004 an important seismic survey on this block but no well has ever been drilled. The geology which shows on the surface of the coast of these permits is comparable to the geology which can be found in the St. Lawrence Gulf where some gigantic structures (particularly Old Harry) have been mapped.
