ABOUT US
Junex is a junior oil and gas exploration company which holds rights on more than six million acres of land located in the Québec Appalachian geological basin. Several recent discoveries in the United States and in eastern Canada are simulating exploration on Québec’s territory whose sedimentary basin is in a geological context favourable to the discovery of oil and/or gas fields.

Junex holds rights on more than one million acres in the region of the St. Lawrence Lowlands (between Québec-City and Montréal) where the successes obtained in the United States in the sedimentary layers of the Trenton/Black-River and of the Shales have incited major companies like Talisman to begin in 2006 drilling works in the area. Junex has signed, in July 2006, partnership agreements with two American companies. These two partnerships, one of which being listed as one of the most important independent natural gas producer in the United States, could lead to investments of at least US$20,000,000 on Junex’s properties during the next three years.

Junex also holds permits and other oil and gas rights in Gaspésie. This area is vast and has practically never been explored but drilling works carried out to this date have shown extremely high indication of hydrocarbons, notably in the area of Galt (Junex holds 50% of this project) where two wells are producing at low flow-rate; and in the area of Haldimand (Junex holds 45% of this project) where an oil discovery was made in 2006.

In addition to its oil and gas activity, Junex is pursuing complimentary activities such as natural brine production and drilling services to help generate exploitation cash flows and therefore provide better management of the risks associated with exploring a pioneer basin such as the one in Québec. The company’s shares are listed on the TSX Venture under the symbol JNX.
